So this is it, the new site! I hope you all enjoy the layout. It was coded by Alice so hopefully it is more compatible with your browsers than the previous layouts. New website URL as well, so update your bookmarks and links! Also let me know if you find any broken links or anything unusual that looks like it might need some fixing. There is still a bit of tweaking to do, but for the most part, everything is up. The comment system is replacing the tag board. You can comment on the comic or in the update. Or both… Whatever you want. I’m liking Comicpress so far!

So the new page is up! Not as good as the last, but luckily text covered most of the empty, boring stuff! And new mystery! There should be another page up by Friday or Saturday to make up for missing last week!

A bit of bad news as well: I won’t have pins for the comic-con. I just factored in the cost, and right now, without a job, and with few prospects, the finances just were not there. The key chains are still a go, and once I get another job, I will definitely make those pins.

Sorry for the page delay guys. I’ve redrawn the next page about 4 times now. I still don’t like it, but I’m sick of drawing the same panels over and over, so sorry if the next page turns out like shit. I’m also trying to work on the page after that so that I may give you two pages this week, maybe three if I can manage. Comic-Con and visits from kai have kept me ultra busy this month. :< BLAME KAI!

Well, I’ve done it again.

This time I didn’t even leave an explanation or anything for you guys, and I really want to say how sorry I am. It is unacceptable, since my readers (you) have always been so kind and supportive and forgiving of my breaks and mistakes. I wrote a small explanation on my devart journal, but forgot that not everyone here keeps track of that. So I’m going to go ahead and just write it out, with detail. I usually don’t do this. I don’t like to include my private life too much in my comic site, but here it is.

Over the past 2-3 years, I’ve moved about 5 times I think. With that not only came a full time job, immense stress, and lack of time, depression also accompanied it. Usually my lack of updates were either due to lack of time or depression. I’ve been struggling the last two years, trying to decide if I should bother with the comic when my life wasn’t going so great, but ultimately, I always decide to continue with it. And I still fully intend to do so. However, I don’t know if it is the smartest thing to keep trying when my life is going through such cycles of hardships.

To update you on my current situation, I am living in Brooklyn now with my girlfriend. I have no job, no money, and I have a tooth problem that I cannot even get looked at until I get a job. I have enough credit to pay for it, but I really don’t want to use my credit without being able to pay my bills. My tooth problem is debilitating at times. I can’t eat or think, and all I want to do is sleep. It has not been as bad lately, but it has caused me to lose my desire to draw or write or do much of anything…

With that said, since I am doing slightly better, I have been sketching again. My girlfriend is currently trying to get me to work on No Crap! and I know she is right, because I’ve been missing it greatly, and I’ve only been getting more ideas for it with my inactivity. So hopefully some time this month or in early October, I’ll be able to make some kind of lame come back for those of you that have been awesome enough to stick around despite my asshole disappearance. I’m not searching for pity, I really feel like a shit for doing this to those of you that have been here a while and have been supporting me. I know this is a free comic and all, but I still feel like you deserve more than that for sticking around. I’m really sorry, and I’ll post again with more information as to when I will post more pages.

I wasn’t going to post any pages until I had a queue built up, but it was advised to me to post something to tide you over until I work out an update schedule as well as..actually have pages to post. This was a quarter done when I arrived in NY, so I finally decided to take some initiative and finish the darn thing. I’ve also been working on the script and have at least 15 more pages written out. I’ll have 20 at least by the end of today. My only concern is that this chapter is rather long, even being broken into two parts. My longest chapter was 71 pages so far, and this might hit the 100 mark. It really just has me thinking if I should break NC! up into “books”, because the story will take a turn, and I’m not sure the best way to handle it.

Anyway, this is just a solitary post. You’ll be informed when I intend to update regularly again. But I want to have at least a week’s worth of pages done before I do that, so it might be a little while. Sorry again, and thank you (as always) for your patience and kindness. Your responses to my last post were really motivating and encouraging.

Hey guys, I’ve updated the poll, one which I hope many of you will take. It is just some small research for the wallpaper(s) I will be making. I want to know the most used size of my readers and work my way from there. There will be WS and regular versions regardless, but I’d just like a general idea. If you see your size unlisted, if it is something unusual, it might not be made, but I can definitely modify for your, or heck, you can if you want, as long as everyone gets to enjoy the entirety of all wallpapers (assuming anyone uses them ). I wish I could adjust the poll so that people could add their own answers for polls like this, but sadly, comicpress doesn’t have that option. :<

Also, thanks for your answers in my last poll, they were really helpful. A lot of you don't seem to care either way, which is good. As a reader of many webcomics myself, I do like separations for archive and look up purposes. I asked in the first place because, while it is up to me, I don't want readers to be upset or confused if the story takes a drastic turn left or something (it might, or it might not). I thought maybe chapter separations for that kind of thing might be more agreeable for readers, but these are just my random thoughts, and I'm rambling a bit now. Anyway, thanks for your input if you gave any.

I'm hoping to post new pages by this month, and to also have some special Halloween images. Which means I need to stop playing video games and work my ass off! October is a busy month, because I also hope to be participating in 24 hour comic day next week. If I do, would any of you be interested in reading it? I can post it in the extras section or something like that if you are.

Okay, long rambling rant over.

I wanted a page by today at the latest, but things didn’t turn out that way, because there was so much I wanted to do last month. I have 5 pages sketched, and will be inking and completing one some time this week, as well as sketching more pages. I found thumbnailing to be way more useful than I ever gave it credit for, and have even been told to post them instead of the pages, because apparently they’re hilarious. I will not be doing that, but I do have some Halloween art for you guys!

There’s going to be a third one, though I don’t think it will be done by the end of today. I was rushing myself and making something I started for my own enjoyment, something stressful. I’ll probably have the third with the next update. I hope you enjoy these.

Other than that, I’ll be updating the following sections within the week: fanart, gallery, character pages. You may have also noticed I’ve added Twitter to the sidebar. I thought it might be helpful to give you guys information without actually having to update the post section. I don’t know if it is very useful yet, but it is on trial for now. Some of you who’ve updated to Flash 10 may also notice that the fonts on the site are now all huge and wonky. I don’t have the most current version of sIFR installed, but that should be fixed by today or tomorrow, since I now live with the person that helps me with all of that stuff.

This was longer than I wanted, but I think I said everything I needed to say.

So as you may have noticed, there is an update. I don’t have a set schedule yet, but I’d like to try and get two pages a week out to you guys. I’m already inking the next page and could have it done by Sunday maybe (if my weekend plans fall through). Or would Tuesday be better? I guess it really depends on me and not your preference. I’m just trying to think of normal webcomic update schedules and whether or not I want my update schedule to be “normal”.

Other than that, images were added to the gallery. I’m going to be working on getting some fanart up today. The character page will take longer than I realized because I don’t even have a list of Minor Characters compiled, nor do I remember all of the cameos I have done with other comic characters.

Still working on the wallpaper. Hopefully I can show the WIP next update as incentive or something. I don’t have any this update, but your votes would be very much appreciated anyway. Thanks in advanced, and thanks for your patience and support once again.

2. Still no incentives, but please vote anyway. I’m mainly working hard to get myself a minuscule buffer of pages so that I don’t have to cop out on any schedule I may set. I do have other arts I’m doing, but they’ll take a bit of time.

3. The twitter badges are all funked up. At least the html/js version I use, is. I refuse to use the flash one, because it is ugly as butt to me. No ugly butts on my page! Only pristine ones. Ummm..but yeah, you can follow me on twitter until the problem is fixed? Though the purpose of putting it on the site was to allow you to view random updates from the sidebar, so that is like defeating the purpose I guess. Oh well. I solved this by using Twitter Tools, a wordpress plugin. It was really really easy to install, I didn’t even have to ask Alice for help.

4. If you are coming to this site via another webcomic/site that linked you to the old site, please let me know who has the old URL linked to their site so I can harass kindly ask them to update their links.

5. You may have noticed the Project Wonderful ads in the sidebar. I had signed up for PW ads before I ever switched the site over, and have chosen what I found to be the least obtrusive ads that can still make me a few cents to advertise on my own.
